Oxygenation and Wastewater
There are manifold roles for electrolysis in wastewater treatment from biological oxygen demand reduction to de-watering to pathogen elimination. Often neglected as simply a by-product of electrolysis, there is a prominent usage for oxygen in almost all electrolyser installations.
At AqGas there are experts in the finding the hidden value of the oxygen side – be it in reducing biological and chemical oxygen demand to energy efficiency gains in anaerobic digestor systems and their products.
For systems at 25bar and above, AqGas is developing energy recovery technology from the oxygen side to mitigate the accompanying high parasitic load that plagues electrolysers.
